Summary:
We are looking for a General Manager with experience managing, sales, estimating, business development and putting together bids/pricing for Clients, General Contractors, and Sub-Contractors projects.
An experienced manager that can put together a complete competitive bid or negotiate a bid with a customer.
Required Knowledge Analyzing Information, Developing Budgets, Vendor Relationships, Reporting Skills, Commercial Estimating, Decision Making, Teamwork, Documentation Skills, Quality Focus, Technology, Working knowledge of Commercial construction documentation and pricing, able to read plans and specifications and translating them into estimates.
Take offs Price build ups Working knowledge of MS Office (excel) Estimating software Knowledgeable of Commercial Construction principles and processes.
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications Knowledgeable of negotiated bids, hard bids Skills & Abilities Multi-tasking and prioritization abilities Analytical and financial skills People skills Manage crew Relationship builder Excellent time management and coordinating skills Excellent communication skills and writing skills Great customer service skills and follow through Strong math and analytical skills Work with a team and individually Sales and Management experience Business development experience Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or work equivalent) for Construction Science or related field 10-year experience in Commercial construction management Proficiency with reading Commercial construction plans, specifications, and vendor product data information preferred Familiarity with Commercial construction project delivery methods and practices preferred Strategic Thinker/Organizer Solid leadership experience Key competencies Ability and willingness to travel thorough out Michigan Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Planning and organizing Decision-making Communication skills Professionalism and Leadership Teamwork and ability to work well with others Dependable
