Royalty Analyst

Perrigo is looking to add a Royalty Analyst to their finance team located in Allegan, MI. The Royalty Analyst will be responsible for the review, interpretation and execution of royalty/profit split language within contracts that support the U. S. market. The Analyst will also maintain detailed documentation, perform monthly profit split calculations, prepare reporting packages, and maintain relationships with contractual Partners.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly royalty calculations for budget, forecast and actual reporting, identifying any variances and resolving issues as needed
  • Analyze and interpret royalty/profit split agreements and as a result, provide guidance to business development for draft versions and translate the final executed versions into royalty calculation reports that ensure accuracy, completeness and conformance to the agreement and internal reporting standards
  • Maintain the detailed tracking tools and reporting results for royalties while ensuring a consistent and efficient process is followed for each royalty
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive relationship with the royalty partners to ensure compliance to contracts and a high level of service
  • Communicate new scenarios or changes to calculations to site and divisional financial management, contract management and royalty partners when applicable
  • Ensure all paper and electronic royalty documentation is organized to department standards and following the corporate Record Retention policy
  • Must possess knowledge of accepted theory and application of financial and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Requires strong analytical skills and strong computer skills with familiarity with SAP, Excel, and Crystal Reports strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary
  • Must be self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently to meet deadlines and be willing to work additional or flexible hours as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is essential.
  • These skills are acquired through completion of a Bachelor s degree in accounting combined with 3-5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment and exposure to legal contracts and the budgeting/forecasting process.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
